THIS is the moment a cop flails his leg at a getaway car in a lame attempt to stop fleeing thieves.
Police have been slammed for failing to catch burglars minutes after a raid as footage showed a cop kicking a vehicle as it sped off.
It comes after masked robbers stole “thousands of dollars“ worth of power tools from a hardware store in Queensland, Australia.
The person who shared the video was quick to blast the poor effort by law enforcement.
“This is the ‘tough on crime’ effort our Australian tax dollars buys,“ they wrote.
CCTV from the suburb of Bigger Waters shows the criminals stroll up to their unmarked black Mazda to pack their stolen goods.
In a dramatic turn, a cop car quickly approaches them from the front but the duo manage to make off within 10 seconds.
They had enough time to get into the car, with a box still inexplicably resting on the roof, and blitz away.
The car rapidly reverses, launching the box onto the windscreen and seemingly blinding the panicked criminals.
As they leave, their boot flies open, revealing their loot, but nothing falls out.
Despite their botched getaway, the copper only manages to launch a half-hearted kick towards the car, which by then has already begun speeding away.
The cops are left at the crime scene looking at each other dumbfounded.
They were able to recover the box that fell from the car roof.
The unconventional robbery at around 1.30am on October 14 took place in just 11 minutes.
It is currently unknown if authorities have been able to identify the two burglars.
The Queensland Police Service have been contacted for comment.
