Margot Robbie opts for a covert look, donning a V For Vendetta mask while attending the Casamigos Halloween party in Los Angeles.

Her character Barbie is one of the world’s most recognisable Halloween costumes this year.

But Margot Robbie took a different approach when it came to selecting her own costume as she attended Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford‘s Casamigos Halloween party in LA on Friday.

The Australian actress was unrecognisable dressed up as vigilante V from the cult film V For Vendetta.

Also known as a Guy Fawkes mask, Margot went completely incognito in the costume as she arrived at the star-studded bash.

She wore an all-black ensemble consisting of a tight pencil dress, duster coat and heeled boots, while completing her look with V’s famous bob wig.

Curiously, V for Vendetta – which stars Hugo Weaving and Natalie Portman – was released in 2006 on the same day as Barbie – March 17.

The film follows a vigilante named V who uses terrorist tactics to protest against the police state that the UK finds itself in after a world war.

It comes after Barbie became the studio’s highest-grossing movie of all time in US cinemas.

The summer smash helped the studio rake in US$537.5 million at the domestic box office as of August.

And Greta Gerwig has become the most successful female debut director of all time, eclipsing the US$153 million earned by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck for the 2019 blockbuster Captain Marvel.

The fantasy comedy follows Barbie and Ken as they embark on a journey of self-discovery following an existential crisis.

The film, based off the Mattel character and co-written by Gerwig with husband Noah Baumbach, has been praised for its sharp examination of femininity.
