Trout is out for at least a month due to his meniscus surgery. Though the star tries to motivate his team from the dugout, the Halos haven’t been able to remain competitive since his absence. So, it isn’t surprising that the Angels star is trying to spend this time having a little quality time with his family. Beckham surely will not mind seeing his legendary father cheering for him.

But that brings an important question – how much time is left for Trout’s recovery? More importantly, can this surgery help him stay fitter from here onward?

Mike Trout’s fitness is still a huge question mark

In his interview with MLB.com, Trout revealed that he had been given the option to continue playing. The Millville Meteor could’ve played the DH role and avoided surgery till the end of the season. However, the superstar was in a lot of pain and that led to him going for the surgery immediately. So now with him out for at least 4-6 weeks, one hopes that he’d be back with complete fitness.

However, the core issue remains the heavy workload the star still takes on. A DH role might be highly suitable for him but then he desires to remain in defense. Can his body bear the increasing pressures? As of now, the answer seems to be a hard no. But then stranger things have happened in baseball. Whatever the case, the Los Angeles Angels would love for their superstar to return as soon as possible.
