WWE legend believes Triple H will stop him returning to the company… as the former world champion reveals his problems with promotion’s new boss

WWE legend has admitted it is unlikely he will return to the company due to Triple H’s takeover.

Triple H is the new boss of the company after Vince McMahon stepped down from his role after being accused of 𝑠e𝑥 trafficking, with the 78-year-old in the process of selling his remaining shares in umbrella company TKO.

WWE marked a new era under ‘The Game’ at WrestleMania, with a number of stars branding it ‘The Triple H era’ on the back of one of the most successful shows the promotion has ever put on.

Feedback has generally been positive regarding the leadership of Triple H, real name Paul Levesque, but not all of the WWE talent past and present have good things to say about the veteran.

Rob van Dam, who enjoyed various runs in the company spanning a number of decades, took to social media to explain how he thinks his days in the company are over.

Hall of Famer Rob van Dam said on social media that he is ‘not so sure’ Triple H is a ‘fan’ of his

Any chance, with triple H taking over, you come back to WWE?’ a fan asked the 53-year-old on X, formerly Twitter, to which ‘RVD’ replied: ‘I just read 2+4=7. Anyone else?’

When he was questioned if he was suggesting he didn’t get on with Triple H, he replied: ‘I’m not so sure he’s a fan.’

WWE have just completed their latest edition of their draft, with a number of celebrities and legends appearing to help deliver the picks.

Last year, Van Damn was part of the returning cohort who helped announce the picks, but this year was nowhere to be seen.

He has been appearing sporadically on rival company AEW’s shows, last wrestling on April 20 on Rampage where he Isiah Kassidy, Komander and Lee Johnson.

Van Dam spent several decades in WWE and has appeared sporadically over the last few years

Van Dam spent a long time in WWE with Triple H, who spent a number of years wrestling before retiring due to heart issues in 2022.

While they never publicly clashed during their in-ring careers, Van Dam opened up on their relationship earlier this year.

Speaking to Wrestling Shoot Interviews, he said: ‘I think it’s common knowledge that not only was he office, but that it’s been said a lot of times publicly that he was at least one of the people responsible for turning the idea of using RVD in a more productive way down.

‘I think everybody knows, it could have been RVD at WrestleMania and he thought, “Nah, Rob’s not a big enough star” or whatever.’
