Golden State Warriors: Stephen Curry and the Lakers will “undoubtedly talk” About a Possible Collaboration, LeBron James

LeBron James has now officially joined Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors in the offseason. This is after the Los Angeles Lakers bowed out to the defending champs Denver Nuggets on Monday night, 108-106, to lose the first-round series 4-1.

With Curry and LeBron linking up for the Olympics this summer, it appears that Steph will be putting on his recruitment hat in an attempt to lure James to the Bay Area.

Golden State Warriors News: Stephen Curry Wants LeBron James on Dubs

League insider Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints recently reported that LeBron is expected to opt out of his current deal with the Lakers in order to become an unrestricted free agent in the summer. This will open the door for a potential move to another team for the 20-time All-Star, which Curry will be hoping will be Golden State:

“The possibility of teaming up with the Warriors is something Curry will undoubtedly talk with James about leading up to free agency and the start of Team USA training camp, sources said,” Siegel wrote.

The report also indicates that for his part, James is “expected to seriously give thought to other opportunities” now that he’s ended his sixth season with the Lakers in disappointment (again).

Kevin Durant Also in the Mix?

That’s not all, folks. In an intriguing twist to this narrative, LeBron is reportedly also expected to talk with Kevin Durant, who just recently also went on vacation after the Phoenix Suns were swept by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round.

Apparently, KD is “another voice James will listen to.”

“Leading up to the start of Team USA training camp in July, LeBron is not only expected to opt out of his contract with the Lakers for the 2024-25 season but actively lay out all of his options moving forward, sources said, with Curry and Durant potentially playing a role in what James decides to do,” Siegel reported.

The report did not exactly hint at a potentially mind-blowing LeBron, Curry, and Durant Big 3. After all, I just don’t see how the money will work. We’ve seen crazier things happen in the NBA, though, right?

Actually, come to think of it, if these three future Hall of Famers end up on the same team next season, that would likely be the wildest turn of events we’ll ever witness in the history of the sport.
