Several Swifties responded to the lyrics on X by saying, “Honestly, who are we fighting to fight The Alchemy?” The artist’s fan account wrote, “Why does the alchemy really sound like Travy made it to the big game?” after hearing the song. “The alchemy has been stuck in my head all day,” a second fan commented.

In an episode of his podcast “New Heights” from November of last year, Travis—who earlier this week hinted at another Swift song being about him in her upcoming album—addressed the persistent joke that he’s only famous as the popstar’s boyfriend.

Fans of the Grammy Award winning artist are also suggesting that Swift aimed a dig at Formula One driver Fernando Alonso in her new album, as the singer was heavily linked with the Spaniard last year.
