Quantico star Priyanka Chopra walked the red carpet at 2020 Grammys which was held at Staples Centre in Los Angeles, in an exquisitive gown by Ralph and Russo. Priyanka looked gorgeous in the stunning dress and the dress made to several publications lists of best dressed celebs at Grammys 2020 but people back home couldn’t stop flooding the Internet with instant memes trolling her look.

Indian designer Wendell Rodricks did not like the dress and posted about it, commenting how the neckline goes all the way from LA to Cuba. He was called out by actors and slammed for body-shaming Priyanka.

While actor Suchitra Krishnamoorthi had earlier rooted for Priyanka, the latter’s mother Madhu Chopra finally came out strongly on trolls by giving a befitting reply.

In a recent interview, Madhu Chopra was asked about her opinion on the excessive trolling Priyanka received for her much discussed outfit. To this Madhu said,

“I am glad it happened because I feel it made her stronger. She lives life on her own terms as long as she is not harming or hurting anybody. It’s her body she can do what she wants, and she has a beautiful one too. I sent her a saying that says ‘It’s my life’. Whose life am I living, yours or mine? I can do what I want, right? I think that is the philosophy that everybody should follow.”

Madhu Chopra also shared her views on internet trolls and slammed them by saying,

“Trolls are anonymous people hiding behind their computers with no joy in their life. I feel like they get attention by saying bad things, they don’t mean to say bad things, but they get attention. I don’t give much heed to the troller,”

She further said about Priyanka’s dress that,

“I loved it. She showed me the sample before she wore, I thought it was a little risqué but she carried it well and she was one of the best dressed. I am happy about that.”

Priyanka Chopra cousin Parineeti lauded how Madhu Chopra replied to the trollers.
