‘Clearing the way’ to welcome Mbappe, Real Madrid officially liquidated the contract with Vinicius

In the context of Real Madrid preparing to welcome Mbappe in the summer of 2024, Vinicius Tobias will be the first factor to leave ‘Los Blancos’ after not being able to meet the expectations of the coaching staff.

Tobias’s failure is a valuable lesson for Real Madrid in evaluating player potential and planning for the future. Tobias was once expected to become Dani Alves’ successor and a counterweight to Trent Alexander-Arnold. Real Madrid spent 18 million pounds to bring him back from Shakhtar Donetsk.

However, after two years, Tobias could not pass the test and missed the opportunity to play in the official squad. In the 2022-23 season, Tobias had erratic performance and lost his place in Castilla’s starting eleven. Ancelotti only called him up once (in the National Cup with Villarreal) and did not give him the opportunity to join the First Team.

Vinicius Tobias will have to leave Real Madrid because he does not meet the expectations of the coaching staff.

Real Madrid decided to give Tobias another chance by signing a loan contract extension for another year. However, this season, Tobias continued to disappoint when he had to sit on the bench and did not play for Castilla in 4 consecutive matches. Finally, Real Madrid has no intention of implementing the option to buy Tobias outright for 10 million euros. He will have to leave the club when the season ends.

In addition to the Vinicius deal, the Spanish press revealed that superstar Mbappe has reached an agreement to join the Bernabeu team on a free transfer when his contract with PSG ends in the summer of 2024. “Los Blancos” PSG does not have to pay a transfer fee, but will spend $108 million on Mbappe alone. In addition, they also promised Mbappe the highest salary at the Bernabeu, surpassing the 13 million USD per season of Vinicius and Jude Bellingham.

Mbappe is on his way to join the Bernabeu team.

Recently, in an interview with Telefoot (France) on March 24, Aurelien Tchouameni shared about Kylian Mbappe: “Spanish fans know about Kylian, but when they watch every day, they can recognize his greatness.” Immediately, Tchouameni’s statement was widely spread in the media and was seen as a confirmation that Mbappe would join Real Madrid. Afterwards, Telefoot was forced to delete this interview from their social media accounts.

Mbappe himself does not want to reveal his future, because he wants to respect PSG and focus heavily on the final months of the season. The 25-year-old striker has set the time to announce the new club before Euro 2024, taking place from June 14 to July 14.
