Britney Spears showcased her fit frame while sporting a stylish swimsuit during a relaxing pool day in a video uploaded to her Instagram page on Friday.

The Baby One More Time hitmaker, 42 – whose ex-husband Sam Asghari said he’s ‘never going to talk badly’ about pop star after split – could be seen laying on a lounge chair as the bright sun shone down on her.

In the caption of the post, the star compared herself to actress Katie Holmes by penning, ‘My first high waisted bathing suit… Feeling very Katie Holmes today!!! Ps sun’s out buns out !!!’

Throughout the course of the short clip, Beyonce‘s country track, Texas Hold ‘Em, played in the background.

Spears flaunted her toned figure in a hot pink bikini top as well as matching, high-waisted bottoms.

Her blonde locks were parted to the side and flowed down naturally in light waves past her shoulders.

In another portion of the reel, the performer also added a tan hat with pink and green-striped details on top of her head.

Britney wore a beaded bracelet onto her wrist while also wearing a pair of fashionable shades to protect her eyes from the sun.

A small water bottle was placed next to the Toxic singer on the lounge chair so she could stay hydrated during the day.

At one point, she panned the camera away to show the scenic view of the pool as well as the clear blue sky and mountains in the distance.

Her latest post comes shortly after her ex-husband, Sam Asghari, told People during an interview earlier last week that he’s ‘never going to talk badly’ about Spears.

The former couple initially tied the knot in June 2022 among other celebrity guests, such as Paris Hilton, but split when Asghari filed for divorce in August 2023.

‘It was a blessing to be able to share life with someone for a long time. And people grow apart and people move on,’ the actor informed the outlet – shortly before his 30th birthday which took place on March 3.

At the time their marriage came to an end, Britney had jumped to Instagram and admitted that she had been ‘a little shock.’

However, in her memoir The Woman In Me which was released in October 2023, she notably had sweet words for her ex, and notably called him ‘a gift from God.’ 

‘It was a blessing to be able to share life with someone for a long time. And people grow apart and people move on,’ the actor informed the outlet; seen in October 2023 in L.A.

He later added, ‘I will continue growing. I come from a place where we celebrate our past. I look back fondly. My past was a blessing and beautiful’; the pair seen in 2019 in Hollywood

‘I have an appreciation for how stable he is. I love that he doesn’t even drink,’ the singer wrote in the book.

After first crossing paths on set of her Slumber Part music video in 2016, Spears added that she ‘knew’ she wanted him in her life.

‘The chemistry with us in the beginning was insane. We couldn’t keep our hands off each other.’

Britney also had revealed how Asghari had been by her side as she fought to end her 13-year conservatorship.

The pop star has been active on social media and recently uploaded a clip of herself dancing in a red bodysuit to the Madonna’s track, La Isla Bonita.

And late last month, she also thanked Janet Jackson ‘for keeping my dreams and heart alive’ in a post that has since-been deleted.
