It is believed that Captain Britain, Thor, and Mister Fantastic could be the new trinity of the MCU after Iron Man and Captain America’s journey wrapped up. Given Jonathan Major’s controversy, Marvel indeed has to come up with new plans in order to make the MCU more exciting. The addition of Cavill is certainly a good idea as he is one of the most popular and talented actors in the industry right now.

A popular industry insider, MyTimeToShineHello, recently revealed in an X post that actor Henry Cavill‘s role in the MCU may shock some fans. They wrote,

“Henry Cavill’s MCU role is going to be a shock to some”

Many sources have claimed that Cavill is preparing for his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. As of now, the actor’s name is primarily linked to Captain Britain but this X post hints that Cavill is playing someone else. With James Gunn setting up his new DC Universe without Cavill, the actor has already found his place in the MCU. Given Cavill’s experience as Superman in the DC Extended Universe, the actor wouldn’t have a hard time playing another superhero.

Many rumors have been going around that claim Cavill accepted the role of Doctor Doom, however, MyTimeToShineHello confirmed in another X post that he accepted another role. They replied to a rumor about Cavill’s casting as Doctor Doom,

“He was offered something else and he accepted” 

The industry insider is quite confident of what they are saying as when the account was accused of lying, MyTimeToShineHello replied, “You will find that I’m not, sooner than you think.” Marvel was in deep trouble when Jonathan Majors was fired from the franchise as they set up the entire storyline around his character, Kang the Conqueror. As fans gear up for 2024 Marvel movies, Cavill’s addition to the MCU would certainly bring in a lot of viewers.
