Former UFC superstar Francis Ngannou has compared the personality of his upcoming opponent Anthony Joshua to his previous opponent, Tyson Fury
Former UFC superstar Francis Ngannou almost pulled off one of the biggest surprises in combat sports history when he made his boxing debut against Fury last October. He knocked out the WBC heavyweight champion but still lost the match after a slim split decision.
Despite the defeat, Ngannou is about to take part in another very important fight, as he will travel to Saudi Arabia again to fight Joshua in the next fortnight .
“The Predator” will try to improve the results and record the first victory in his career as a boxer. In an interview with The Mirror, Ngannou compared the differences between his past and future opponents, explaining why he feels Fury is a genuine “playboy”.
Francis Ngannou will face Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia on March 8
“Anthony Joshua never speaks ill, his personality is more serious than that of Tyson Fury, who has a playboy-like style. I think when it comes to fighting, they both know how to fight and that’s what I focus on.
He might have been nervous but that didn’t mean anything, in fact I think that nervousness meant he was serious. This is very important because he will try his best to show up on match day with everything.”, Francis Ngannou frankly shared.
Despite the undeniable appeal of a title shot, it appears the fight between Ngannou and “AJ” could be the former UFC champion’s last in the sport, after confirmation plans to return to MMA and compete in the PFL this year.
