SHAW SAD: Manchester United suffer a HUGE injury blow as Luke Shaw could miss the rest of the season – leaving Erik ten Hag without a recognized left-back and Gareth Southgate sweating it out for Euro 2024

Manchester United is worried that Luke Shaw might miss the rest of the season because he hurt his leg muscle again last weekend in the win at Luton.

United will have more doubts about their choice to start Shaw at Kenilworth Road just one week after he was taken off at halftime against Aston Villa because of the shocking news.

Shaw didn’t even make it to halftime at Luton because he was taken off near the end of the first half. He was then seen stumbling onto United’s team bus after the game.

The 28-year-old spent three months out at the beginning of the season with a different problem with a muscle in his thigh. He will likely be out for another three months as well. He might not be able to play in any of United’s final 13 Premier League games as Erik ten Hag’s team tries to finish in the top four. He might also miss the rest of the FA Cup season.

There is also a new issue for Shaw that will worry England manager Gareth Southgate a lot before the Euros this summer.

He will already not be able to play in the matches against Brazil and Belgium next month.

It’s more trouble for Ten Hag, who has had a lot of injuries this season, mostly on defense.

Lisandro Martinez will also be out for eight weeks because he hurt a muscle in his knee.

It won’t be easy to replace Shaw either. Tyrell Malacia, who would normally play left back, hasn’t played all season because he had surgery on his knee and recently had a setback in his rehab.

Sergio Reguilon’s loan from Tottenham was cut short by United last month. Victor Lindelof and Sofyan Amrabat have also had trouble filling in for Shaw.

United said in a statement that Luke Shaw hurt his muscle and will be out for a long time.

“More testing is needed to figure out how bad it is, but he will probably be out for a few months.”
