Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings” music video releases, featuring pink-infused visuals and her best friends, set to “My Favorite Things.”

Ariana Grande released the second single from her upcoming album Thank U, Next, entitled 7 Rings, with a stunning pink-infused music video.

The song was reportedly inspired by a shopping spree the 25-year-old singer took with her six best friends, following her break-up with Pete Davidson, where she bought engagement rings for herself and her friends.

7 Rings was described as an, ‘anthem for female empowerment’ in the TMZ report from Wednesday, with the song and the accompanying music video living up to that description.

Shopping spree: The song was reportedly inspired by a shopping spree the 25-year-old singer took with her six best friends, following her break-up with Pete Davidson, where she bought engagement rings for herself and her friends

The song is set to the classic tune My Favorite Things from The Sound of Music, albeit with a much more modern flavor, while continuing the singer’s flare for including Japanese culture.

One of the opening shots of the video features a car with a license plate in Japanese, while the title graphic featuring the song title in English and Japanese.

The opening moments of the video show a set bathed in pink hues, with all of the actresses (many of whom are Ariana’s actual friends), dressed in variations of pink as well.

Favorite things: The song begins with Grande describing some of her ‘favorite things,’ including, ‘breakfast at Tiffany’s and bottles of bubbles/Girls with tattoos who like getting in trouble/Lashes and diamonds, ATM machines’

The friends who Ariana actually bought the rings for are Alexa Luria, Courtney Chipolone, Tayla Parx, Victoria Monet, Njomza Vita and Kim ‘Kaydence’ Krysiuk, according to PopCrush.

The next verses also show her lyrics evolving taking slightly darker turns and delving into more adult themes, compared to her bubblegum pop style from the past.

‘Been through some bad s***, I should be a sad b***h/Who woulda thought it’d turn me to a savage?,’ she sings, before teasing that she might even be into bondage.

‘Rather be tied up with cuffs and not strings/Write my own checks like I write what I sing, yeah,’ she sings, while seen on all fours on top of a kitchen table while wearing a skimpy, shimmering ensemble.

Grown up: ‘Rather be tied up with cuffs and not strings/Write my own checks like I write what I sing, yeah,’ she sings, while seen on all fours on top of a kitchen table while wearing a skimpy, shimmering ensemble

The pre-chorus teases the song’s shopping spree roots, revealing, ‘Make big deposits, my gloss is poppin’/You like my hair? Gee, thanks, just bought it.’

This leads into the chorus, where she basically states that anything she wants, she gets, while she’s seen in the video dancing in the front yard of her pink house with her friends, along with other scenes inside the house where she’s holding a glass with pink champagne.

‘I want it, I got it, I want it, I got it/I want it, I got it, I want it, I got it/You like my hair? Gee, thanks, just bought it/I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it (Yeah).’

Champagne tower: The next section of the song and video shows Grande filling up a tower of champagne glasses, while seemingly/subtly addressing her break-up with Davidson

Shopping spree: ‘Wearing a ring but ain’t gon be no Mrs.’ and then hinting at the shopping spree with ‘Buy matching diamonds for six of my b****es’

Retail therapy: Grande goes on, seemingly preferring to spoil her friends instead of worrying about a relationship, singing, ‘I’d rather spoil all my friends with my riches/Think retail therapy my new addiction.’

Getting money: She goes on to talk about her riches (her net worth is estimated at $50 million), claiming, ‘Whoever said money can’t solve your problems?/Must not have had enough money to solve ’em’

Lyrics: The pop star goes into the next pre-chorus by saying her ‘smile is beamin’ and her ‘skin is gleamin,’ adding, ‘The way it shine, I know you’ve seen it (You’ve seen it)’

Buying everything: Grande then talks about buying out everything instead of just one, singing, ‘They say “Which one?” I say “No, I want all of ’em”‘

Happiness: ‘Happiness is the same price as red-bottoms,’ referring to Christian Louboutin shoes with the famous red soles

The next section of the video has Grande in a hot pink top and pants, while whipping her long ponytail around, while breaking through the paper house set.

The bridge reenforces the primary theme that she gets what she wants, singing, ‘I got my receipts, be lookin’ like phone numbers/If it ain’t money, then wrong number/Black card is my business card. The way it be settin’ the tone for me.’

‘I don’t mean to brag, but I be like, “Put it in the bag,” yeah/When you see them racks, they stacked up like my a**, yeah/Shoot, go from the store to the booth/Make it all back in one loop, give me the loot.’

She even drops a sports reference, singing, ‘Nothing but net when we shoot,’ before closing out the bridge.

‘Look at my neck, look at my neck/Ain’t got enough money to pay me respect/Ain’t no budget when I’m on the set/If I like it, then that’s what I get, yeah.’

The North American leg of the tour  wraps up in July, before the European leg starts in August and ends in October.
