Henry Cavill finally fulfills his childhood dream by bringing a new cinematic universe to life, despite already leaving two big franchises.
Even though Henry Cavill left DC and The Witcher, he is not out of opportunities. His upcoming Highlander reboot, directed by Chad Stahelski, could be a big hit and start a successful franchise.
His part in the upcoming spy film Argylle could be his major success after DCU and mark the beginning of another notable franchise for AppleTV+.

With this, he has now teamed up with Amazon for a Warhammer 40k movie and TV adaptation. The DCEU’s Superman star recently shared an exciting update on the same.

Warhammer 40K is a tabletop miniature wargame where players build and paint miniature armies. These detailed miniatures are then used in strategic battles on a tabletop to decide the fate of the galaxy. Henry Cavill discussed his efforts to bring Warhammer 40K to live-action during an interview with Collider for his film Argylle.
Although he didn’t reveal many specifics, the 40-year-old shared how much this means to him. He also indicated that the progress is underway for the project. The Hollywood star said:
“I have loved Warhammer since I was boy, making this moment truly special for me. The opportunity to shepherd this cinematic universe from its inception is quite the honour and the responsibility. I couldn’t be more grateful for all the hard work put in by Vertigo, Amazon, and Games Workshop to make this happen. One step closer to making a nigh-on lifelong dream come true.”
In December 2022, Amazon Studios made an agreement to bring Warhammer 40K to screens via movies and TV series. At that time, Cavill shared on Instagram that the main focus was to find the filmmaker, creator, or writer who would bring this universe to life at Amazon. Cavill will not only act in this new cinematic universe but also serve as its executive producer.
When Will Prime Video’s Warhammer 40k Series Arrive?
Warhammer 40,000
Although there’s no release date announced for the Warhammer 40k project yet, a recent blog from Warhammer Community hinted at when the first of these projects could arrive. The blog reads:
“TV and Film production is a mammoth undertaking. It’s not unusual for projects to take two to three years from this point before something arrives on screen. Still, things are now properly rolling, and you can bet we’ll bring you all the latest updates and cool snippets as soon as we’re able.”
If the Warhammer 40K series starts production next year, considering the post-production time, it might be released in 2026 at the earliest. This estimation is based on the available information at the time of writing.
