Fans of the original series “Omniscient Readers” did not appreciate the acting of the cast. Jisoo received many mixed opinions when she transformed into a 17-year-old high school girl.

Without signing a personal contract with YG Entertainment,  Jisoo  accelerated her progress into acting. On January 24, the BlackPink member appeared at the script reading of the movie  Omniscience Reader . She took on supporting roles with Lee Min Ho, Ahn Hyo Seop, Chae Soo Bin, Nana…

According to published information, Jisoo plays high school girl Lee Ji Hye. In the original work, the character along with Yoo Jung Hyuk (played by Lee Min Ho) overcame countless challenges thanks to their strength.

Jisoo transformed into 17-year-old high school student Ji Hye, paired with Lee Min Ho. In the original story, Ji Hye belongs to the supporting line but has as much acting space as the main character.

Many fans of the original series were not satisfied with Jisoo playing a schoolgirl. According to the original story, the original character is 17 years old, while Jisoo has just turned 29.

Despite criticism about the casting, Jisoo fans defended the idol and said that the selection process depends on the casting team. Additionally, adults playing teenagers is not new, especially in many Korean films. According to fans, Jisoo’s appearance is youthful and not excessive if she plays the role of a 17-year-old girl.

Some fans said that Ji Hye is a character who has overcome many challenges, has experiences, and looks like someone in her 20s, which is suitable for Jisoo.

Not only the role of BlackPink members, the rest of the artists make the audience worried about their acting even though they are all famous faces. According to many netizens, Ahn Hyo Seop is a person whose acting is highly appreciated, but recently he has not been able to maintain his form.

The cast playing Omniscient Readers is highly appreciated for their beauty but raises concerns about their acting.

Korean media reported that the movie was filmed at the end of December 2023. Fans are waiting for the movie to release in 2024.

Besides the project  Omniscience Readers , Jisoo promises to make a difference in the zombie-themed drama based on the novel of the same name by author Han Sang Woon –  Influenza . She plays the main role of Yeongju, along with her boyfriend Jaeyoon, fighting against the zombies’ aggression. The film is set in a high-rise building in Seoul.
