Max Verstappen, the 3-time F1 world champion, has been operating at an extremely high level since winning his maiden world championship. While Verstappen is going from strength to strength with each passing season, and former F1 team owner, Eddie Jordan, has claimed that he is a mixture of Michael Schumacher and the late. Ayrton Senna.

Both Schumacher and Senna were world beaters during their prime years and are to date, seen as one of the best drivers to have ever stepped foot into F1. Eddie Jordan sees Max Verstappen in the same light as them.

While applauding the Dutchman in an interview with F1 Insider, he said:

I have already experienced a lot. With Michael, it was already clear after the first test drives in Silverstone: He will become the challenger of Ayrton Senna. He was so fast right away that we thought the stopwatch was spinning. For me, Max Verstappen is the mixture of Senna and Schumacher.

Looking at the reaction of Jordan, it seems that in his opinion, Verstapppen has several traits of both Schumacher and Senna. This is one thing that according to him, sets him in a class of his own in comparison to the other nineteen drivers on the F1 grid.

Max Verstappen could equal Michael Schumacher’s F1 record

While Eddie Jordan has showered immense praise on Max Verstappen, the latter has already equaled Ayrton Senna’s world championships tally(3). Moreover, the way he is going, there is a very good chance that he could break Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton’s seven titles record.

Verstappen is only 26 years old and has several years ahead of him. He has done very well so far in his career and going into the 2024 F1 season, he is once again the favorite to dominate. He won an impressive nineteen grand prix last year and amassed a brilliant total of 575 points. His teammate, Sergio Perez, was not able to perform anywhere near level.

The Red Bull F1 team has nailed the new regulations from the very beginning and the rival teams, are yet to pose a serious threat to them. However, keeping in view that it has been two years under the current set of regulations, Verstappen and Co. might have to sweat a bit more to win races this year.
