Philadelphia Eagles center reveals why eating corn on the cob can prove a problem with his signature look

JASON Kelce is well-known for his thick beard and rugged features.

But the Philadelphia Eagles center once adopted a fresh-faced look, which will leave NFL fans completely stunned.

In November 2012, Jason completely shaved off his beard for the Movember charity campaign.

And he completed the look with a twirly handlebar mustache, with fans comparing the NFL star to former baseball player Rollie Fingers.

When Jason joined the Eagles he had a massive Viking-look beard, which he says was untenable to maintain.

“It’s not really feasible to have a rough-type beard like that,” he told GQ.

“But I was a rookie in the beard game back then.”

Now Jason spends a lot of time in his post-workout grooming routine to ensure his beard looks the part.

“I put products in it to make sure it’s clean and kempt,” he adds.

“The texture is better after using things like beard oil and beard balm – it definitely makes a big difference.”

Jason also makes a point of visiting his barber every two or three weeks.

Otherwise, he says, “anything from eating corn [on the cob] to drinking liquid out of a glass becomes a struggle.”

In 2018, Jason and his brother Travis even capitalized on their signature looks to gain an advertising deal with Old Spice.

Jason was recently named one of People magazine’s Sexiest Men of the Year.

On the New Heights podcast, Travis said he was “all for it” when Jason made the list, adding “I was proud of you”.

When Travis asked what Jason’s wife, Kylie, thought of the honor, Jason said she was unsurprised because it “was just obvious.”
