Jennifer Lawrence playfully declares to the camera, “If I don’t win, I’m leaving!” just moments before ultimately losing the award to Emma Stone at the 2024 Golden Globes.

Jennifer Lawrence joked she would leave the 2024 Golden Globe Awards if she didn’t win.

The actress, 33, was among a number of nominees at the star-studded ceremony, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday.

When her name was called for the ‘Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy’ category, the No Hard Feelings star looked at the camera and mouthed, ‘If I don’t win, I’m leaving.’

Just a few moments later her pal Emma Stone, 35, was announced as the winner, however Lawrence took the loss in stride and did not proceed to leave.

Instead, she enthusiastically cheered on Emma, and appeared to scream out ‘Mother!’ in support of the star, who won for her performance in Poor Things.

The mother-of-one carried a studded, silver clutch that matched her edgy ear cuff and pointy, chrome heels.

Her film No Hard Feelings hit theaters in June and earned $87.2 million at the worldwide box office.

It was directed by Gene Stupnitsky, who is known for his work on Good Boys and Bad Teacher, and a script by Stupnitsky and screenwriter John Phillips.

The concept for No Hard Feelings originated from a real-life Craigslist post that caught the attention of producers Marc Provissiero and Naomi Odenkirk.

The post sought a young woman to help transform a shy and inexperienced teenager into a cool college kid

Known for her dramatic roles in films like Silver Linings Playbook and The Hunger Games franchise, Lawrence previously said that she was thrilled to step into the world of comedy.

‘I’ve always wanted to make a comedy. I just didn’t find the right one,’ she revealed. ‘Shooting this movie, alongside a brilliant and hilarious cast, was so much fun.’
