Meanwhile, Best Serial Drama Performance went to Julie Hesmondhalgh for her portrayal of Corrie favourite, Hayley Cropper, and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! was named Best Entertainment Programme.

Best Talent Show went to Strictly Come Dancing, while Ant and Dec scooped a double whammy of awards for Best Entertainement Presenter and also the Landmark Award.

This Morning was named Best Daytime Show, while  Benedict Cumberbatch won Best TV Detective and EastEnders’ Khali Best took home the Best Newcomer prize.
