The Moment Anthony Joshua Stuns Louis Theroux in a Riveting TV Interview

Anthony Joshua and Louis Theroux shared a tense exchange during an episode of the latter’s interview show.

The former heavyweight champion appeared on the second series of the BBC show ‘Louis Theroux Interviews’, where he was grilled by the renowned journalist and TV presenter.

The episode, which will air on Tuesday, November 7, sees Joshua answer a series of hard-hitting questions, as per Theroux’s style.

There was one slightly awkward moment during the show – which you can see below.

The moment in question occurred after Theroux asked Joshua about one of his now infamous moments after he lost to Oleksandr Usyk.

After the Ukrainian won by split decision, Joshua threw his heavyweight championship belts outside the ring and stormed out, before returning to shake hands with his opponent.

Joshua then grabbed the microphone and gave a passionate yet unusual speech, in which he paid tribute to Ukraine and stated he was ‘stealing’ Usyk’s belts ‘because of the passion we put into this’.

When the 34-year-old was asked about the incident by Theroux, he replied: “That was an ego and pride thing coming out. I brought this heavyweight division back. That was in me, right or wrong. Probably wrong.”

Theroux then gave his own view, hitting back in an attempt to get Joshua to expand on the answer: “Probably wrong, probably wrong I think.

“I don’t think anyone says it’s the right thing to do.”

That point appeared to irk Joshua, who interjected: “You asked me a question and I’m answering it.”
