And with just days to go Anne Hathaway’s dutiful husband Adam Shulman was right by her side to escort the actress to the Public Theatre in New York ahead of her performance on Friday.

The casual couple looked relaxed as they strolled their usual route through Greenwich Village.

Adam, a jewelry designer and actor wore pale blue jeans and a chunky knit cardigan for the jaunt and carried a brown leather tote over his shoulder.

Anne will take to the stage in her show Grounded for the last time on Sunday evening.

In the critically acclaimed play, the actress plays a US fighter pilot reassigned to a remote-controlled drone who faces twelve-hour shifts hunting targets from her Air Force trailer.
