Spider-Man actor Kirsten Dunst has opened up on her experience of having to kiss a 30-year-old Brad Pitt when she was just 11 years old.

I’m sure a lot of women dreamed about kissing movie star Pitt when they were in their tween and teenage years, but there’s a big different between crushing on a poster in your bedroom and actually having to smooch the star in real life.

Obviously there aren’t many people who would ever have this opportunity, but one person who did was Dunst, who starred alongside Pitt in the 1994 film Interview with The Vampire.

The actor was just 11-years-old when she appeared in the film, which tells the story of a nearly 200-year-old vampire named Louis (Pitt), as he recounts his life to reporter Daniel Molloy.

Dunst plays Claudia in the film; a young girl who is turned into a vampire by fellow vampire Lestat de Lioncourt (Tom Cruise).

Having being turned into a member of the undead at such a young age, Claudia becomes more and more frustrated by her life as she desperately wants to become an adult woman.

In one scene, she ends up giving Louis a peck on the cheek; a moment Dunst recalled in an interview with Vanity Fair in 2021.

The actor, who is now 41-years-old, recalled how she had to bite an actor’s neck who was sweating profusely, saying: “That was the worst thing I did, and also having obviously to kiss Brad Pitt at that point.

“I was a little girl and he was like a brother to me and it was very weird even though it was a peck. I was very not into it.”

Though Dunst didn’t enjoy that particular aspect of the movie, she otherwise appeared to be happy with her time in the role, revealing, ‘other than that I was treated like a total princess on that set’.

The interview isn’t the only time Dunst has shared her thoughts on the kiss, Entertainment Tonight reports, with archive footage showing Dunst revealing that she ‘hated it so much’.

Speaking at the time, Dunst said: “Brad was like my older brother on the set and it’s kinda like kissing your older brother. I don’t know.

“It was weird kissing an older guy. And I had to kiss him on the lips so it was gross.”

Interview With The Vampire, which came out the same year she played spoiled Amy in Little Women, proved to be Dunst’s break-out role, and led to her being nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress.
