For decades, fans of The Young and the Restless have been riveted by the exploits of Victor Newman, his passionate love affairs and masterful power plays. But it turns out it’s not only two-legged viewers who thrill to the Black Knight’s machinations.

With the holiday season in full swing, Eric Braeden shared a message he’d received from an admirer about another admirer, this one four-legged with an especially cute nose. “Merry Christmas!” began the message. “My dog Blue loves to sit in front of the TV to watch Victor Newman every lunch hour. Always glad to have you in our home each day.

“May you and your loved ones enjoy another year of joy and contentment,” the note concluded.

And as you can see below, included was a precious photo of Blue glued to the goings-on on The Young and the Restless. (Look at that face! Must have been tuned in to an especially good episode.)

Braeden was apparently just as tickled by the post (and Blue!) as we were. “Too adorable not to share from X,” he wrote on Instagram. See, the Emmy winner isn’t nearly the Grinch that his all-powerful character may be.
