I’m A Celebrity’s Tony Bellew adopts Sam Thompson as his ‘fifth son’ in sweet snaps from a family beach day with his children and campmates

Their comical bromance was the highlight of this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and it seems Tony Bellew has officially ‘adopted’ show winner Sam Thompson as part of his family.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the champion boxer, 41, shared sweet snaps as his family enjoyed a day out at the beach before flying home from Australia back to the UK.

Catching up with his four sons Corey, 18, Cobey, 15, Carter, 11, and Carson, three, Tony was also joined by his campmates Sam, Marvin Humes and Sam’s best friend Pete Wicks as they soaked up the sun.

Beaming alongside his children, Tony carried a smiley Sam on his shoulders as he captioned the picture: ‘So my 4 kids turned into 5 on our day off after the jungle!! Lovely day spent with good people!!’

He joked: ‘@marvinhumes @p_wicks and myself all on parenting duty for @samthompsonuk’.

The pair struck up a firm friendship during the time in the jungle, despite Sam’s energy and endless enthusiasm seeming to grate on the boxer at times

The former Made In Chelsea star, 31, was crowned King of the Jungle on Sunday, while Tony finished as runner up.

As the pair chatted with Ant and Dec before the hosts revealed the results, Tony even promised Sam he that could join his family for Christmas.

It seems their friendship is set to continue off screen as they had a ball together on their day off after leaving the camp.

Posting a clip from the day, Tony walked along the beach as he announced: ‘Right so we are on for the race that we never knew we wanted. My eldest boy, Marvin, Sam and Pete.’

Filming the competitors as they got ready for the sprint, Tony shouted: ‘On your marks go!’

Clearly on a winning streak it was Sam who took first place, as Tony exclaimed: ‘Oooh Sam Thompson, Sam Thompson is quick!’

Tony also gave a shoutout to his wife Rachael, 40, and Marvin’s wife Rochelle, 34, adding: ‘Amazing mothers @rachael_bellew @rochellehumes watching on’.
