Nickmas has quickly become a fan-favorite NFL tradition unlike any other during the holiday season. This year’s edition features none other than Patrick MahomesTravis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs, who will take on the Las Vegas Raiders on December 25th.

The hype is building for this year’s AFC West showdown, and the official promo for the game is already generating quite a bit of buzz on social media. How many references can you pick out in this cartoon poster?

The hidden messages in the Nickmas promo

Of course, Travis Kelce is easy to find. He’s sitting alone in the corner threading friendship bracelets. The homemade wristwear is a staple at Taylor Swift concerts, and played a huge role in Kelce landing his first date with his now-girlfriend.

Then there’s Patrick Mahomes, who is being chased down by Raiders defensive lineman Maxx Crosby, but that isn’t even the worst part.

As if this season hasn’t been frustrating enough for the reigning MVP, the illustrators doubled down by clowning Marquez Valdes-Scantling. In the poster, he’s gifted butter, a nod to the slippery hands he displayed when he dropped a potential game-winning touchdown against the Eagles. At least they spared Kadarius Toney.

The poster is littered with other Christmasy “Easter eggs” and lots of Ninja Turtles. It’s a must-win game for both teams on Christmas Day, and a present for fans of all ages as the Nickelodeon tradition continues.
