Lizzo premiered the music video for her highly-anticipated new single Rumors featuring rapper Cardi B on Thursday night.

And the 33-year-old songstress and the 28-year-old hitmaker simultaneously lived out their Greek goddess fantasies while poking fun at the ‘rumors’ about them floating around in the pop culture sphere.

Cardi, who is currently pregnant with her second child, had her burgeoning baby bump on display as she spewed explicit lyrics from the comfort of a phallic throne.

The over three-minute music video commences with Lizzo appearing as artwork on a vase, reminiscent of ones seen and used in ancient Greece, against a green screen backdrop.

The Truth Hurts singer uttered the song’s opening lyrics, while donning a shiny gold dressing gown and an elaborate headdress.

She appeared to be wearing three incense holders on each of her arms, which created some interesting imagery as the smoke trailed her movements.

The next scene cuts to Lizzo walking through a museum filled with voluptuous sculptures of men and women made entirely of gold, as well as floor-to-ceiling murals.

As Lizzo walked by, the murals came to life and mimicked the mannerisms of people exchanging secrets with one another.

She ditched her goddess-inspired headdress for this portion of the music video and, instead, styled her braided raven hair in a high ponytail.

‘All the rumors are true, yeah / What you heard that’s true, yeah / I f**k him and you, yeah,’ Lizzo sings, while pointing in various directions with her claw-like manicure.

The Grammy Award-winner, still positioned before a green screen backdrop, takes things outdoors as she ventures around an open space featuring giant toppled over vases.

‘Spending all your time trynna break a woman down / Realer s**t is going on, baby, take a look around,’ she continues, as flecks of gold rain down from the sky above her.

‘If you thought that I was ratchet with a** hanging out/ Just wait until the summer when they let me out the house!’

Lizzo, surrounded by a gang of sirens, burst into dance atop a row of sky-high pillars.

She goes onto proclaim in the lyrics that she is ‘sick of rumors, but haters do what they do.’

Without missing a beat, Cardi commences her rap feature immediately after the last line of the chorus.

The WAP hitmaker’s ample bust was concealed by golden armor molded to the shape of her chest, while putting her baby bump in full view in a pair of white undergarments.

She accessorized with an arm-length cuff, a pair of chunky dangly earrings, and a lengthy gold manicure – similar to the one sported by Lizzo.

Never one to shy away from controversy, Cardi effortlessly rapped atop a penis-shaped throne as gown-clad goddesses danced in unison around her.

She poked fun at the uproar she and collaborator Megan Thee Stallion caused following their 2021 Grammy Awards performance of WAP.

‘Last time I got freaky the FCC sued me,’ Cardi rapped, while gyrating her hips and winking at the camera.

The performance sparked so much outrage for its Sєxual nature that the FCC reported that they received over 1,000 complaints, as per Rolling Stone.

‘But I’m gonna keep doing what I wanna do / Because all the Rumors are true,’ declares Cardi in her final line, prompting Lizzo to return to the screen.

This time, the singer-songwriter showcased her curvaceous figure in a skinтιԍнт mesh bodysuit covered in rhinestones and appliques meant to protect her modesty.

She donned a large gold crown on her head as a Rapunzel-style braid trailed behind her.

With thunder roaring in the background and ancient ruins all around them, Lizzo and her dance crew flexed their moves for the camera.

Cardi reappears in her second – and final – look of the video, which consisted of a gold head piece reminiscent of the top of a pillar.

She also rocked a metallic gold bra top, matching jeweled panties, and a pair of reflective thigh-high boots.

The ending of the Rumors music video is a montage of clips, from Cardi B and Lizzo exchanging sᴀssy banter to Lizzo busting out several suggestive dance moves for her audience.

Cardi and Lizzo, with explosions occurring in the sky behind them, join their manicured fingers together to create a stroke of lightening as the grand finale.

The music video comes just a day after the dynamic duo unveiled unveil the ultra glamorous cover art for the forthcoming single.

‘Fun fact: we took this picture right after cardi whispered “I want to eat yo p*ssy” in my ear,’ joked Lizzo in her post’s caption.

She continued: ‘RUMORS THIS FRIDAY YOU READY?’

Shortly after, Cardi took to the comment section, writing: ‘Lmmmmaaaoooo I wonder if the camera man caught that part’

The Rumors cover art shows Cardi and Lizzo posing in front of a black backdrop, while drenched in numerous pieces of chunky gold jewelry.

Though she announced Rumors’ release last week, it was not until Monday that Lizzo revealed Cardi would be featured on the highly-anticipated song.

Rumors is Lizzo’s first single since after a two-year hiatus following the release of 2019’s Cuz I Love You.

The album went on to earn eight Grammy nominations, winning three in the Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Traditional R&B Performance, and Best Urban Contemporary Album categories at the 2020 ceremony.
