As of late Anne has been working on her latest film Mothers’ Instinct, alongside Jessica Chastain as the pair have been spotted filming in New Jersey.

The film is based on Barbara Abel’s 2002 French novel that follows two happy housewives (Anne and Jessica), whose idyllic lifestyles are shattered after a tragic accident that threatens to destroy their friendship.

Their characters, Celine and Alice are best friends and neighbours who both live an idyllic traditional lifestyle with manicured lawns, successful husbands and sons of the same age.

But when a tragic accident shatters the perfect harmony of their lives, guilt, suspicion and paranoia begin to unravel their sisterly bond and a darker side of the maternal instinct emerges.

The movie received good reviews and won 10 prizes at the Magritte Awards in 2020, including Best Picture.

The 50-year-old is also helming the latest version of the Hitchcockian mystery. Mother’s Instinct is the third time the Anne and Jessica have worked together.

They co-starred in 2014’s Interstellar and The Eyes of Tammy Fay actress made a cameo appearance in Anne’s Armageddon Time, which recently debuted at the Cannes Film Festival.
