The musician and Fenty Beauty founder recently stepped out in a truly “aww”-worthy pair of space buns. Her new honey-blonde hair was parted in the centre, split into two sections and gathered into buns on either side of her head, with a portion of hair from each section wrapped around the base of the bun to cover up any elastic and add extra detail to the style. Two tendrils were pulled out on either side to frame her face and show off those warm blonde highlights. She styled the buns with an equally ’90s-style outfit of a white tank, zip hoodie, jeans and hoop earrings.

The buns aren’t the only standout element of Rihanna’s look, either; the Fenty Beauty team called it “glowing and glossy,” and they’re exactly right. The superstar used products from both Fenty Skin and Fenty Beauty for her day out, including the soft peachy champagne Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Mean Money/Hu$tla Baby on her cheekbones and the tip of her nose and the limited-edition Gloss Bomb in Pink Dragonfly, a pretty sheer pink.

Space buns were a mega-trend in the ‘90s thanks to stars like Mel B of the Spice Girls, but they’ve had a resurgence in recent years, likely due to our obsession with all things ‘90s and Y2K.
