Chelsea have now confirmed their injury list ahead of tomorrow night’s return to Premier League action against Manchester United.
They posted on the club website that they will be without 10 senior first team players, with a number of new names being added to the list.
There was a lot of discussion in the pre-game over whether it may finally be time for Chelsea fans to witness the debut of Christopher Nkunku and Romeo Lavia after their big moves in the summer.
However, both stars remain on the list of those with issues, suggesting they still won’t be involved in action tomorrow at Old Trafford.
Some of the more long-term casualties were again mentioned. Ben Chilwell and Wesley Fofana are both not expected to be seen for a fair while yet.
There were two new names mentioned which only added to Mauricio Pochettino’s headaches.

As well as the young Frenchman, Noni Madueke has also been named as one of the injured players.
The winger has seen opportunities hard to come by under Pochettino so far this season, however has looked bright whenever he has been seen on the pitch.
The Englishman not being fit will likely see both Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk will keep their place from Sunday’s starting squad.
The duo linked up well to win what turned out to be the decisive penalty in the second half against Brighton, and their pace can certainly be a major asset for the Blues on the break tomorrow night.
