Jason Momoa bares his sculpted abs as he takes part in a push-up contest in humorous skit while stepping into hosting duties on Saturday Night Live

Jason Momoa bared his muscular frame as he stepped back into hosting duties on the latest episode of Saturday Night Live – five years after making his hosting debut on the series.

The Game Of Thrones alum, 44 – who recently whipped off his trousers in a steamy promo for SNL – had the chance to show off his comedic skills by taking part in a variety of skits while musical guest, Tate McRae, also rocked the stage.

The actor displayed his sculpted abs in a humorous sketch where he played the role of Laird – a man who was invited to dinner by his ex-fiance after he was stranded on an island for five years.

His ex, Elaine – played by Chloe Fineman – was seen setting a table inside a living room as her husband Dennis, portrayed by Andrew Dismukes, voiced his disapproval about having Laird join them.

‘I still don’t understand why you had to invite your ex-fiance over for dinner. It’s kind of sus,’ he stated.

She quickly explained, ‘I thought Laird was dead because his plane exploded over the ocean, and then two days ago, a cruise ship found him floating on a piece of a porta potty. What do you want me to do?’

Suddenly, there was a knock on the front door on the rainy evening and she jumped up to answer the door.

However, she told her husband, ‘Try and be nice, okay? He was stranded on that island for five years. He’s probably all messed up and frail.’

She opened the door to see that he was far from frail, and he stepped inside as his 6’4″ frame towered over her. Fineman’s character was momentarily speechless until she uttered, ‘You look…different.’

He told her, ‘The island, it changed me.’ Chloe humorously responded, ‘I can see that,’ as she held her gaze with his.

Momoa then said, ‘Didn’t change everything,’ which caused Fineman to emotionally say, ‘I can feel that.’

Suddenly, her husband Dennis appeared in the frame while sitting on the couch and interrupted the moment by stating, ‘Uh, I’m Dennis, by the way. I’m Elaine’s husband now. Sorry if that’s weird or annoying for you.’

Jason said, ‘Not at all. I’m glad Elaine found someone in my absence. She deserves to be happy,’ with Dennis also agreeing.
