‘Built different’ Conor McGregor continues UFC comeback training after big night out

Conor McGregor has given fans a glimpse into his fight camp just days after enjoying a big night out.

The former dual-weight champion is set to end his three-year injury layoff when he takes on Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in Las Vegas on June 29.

In April, McGregor, who owns two alcohol companies and several pubs, swore off booze as he promised to mount the ‘greatest sporting comeback of all time’.

However, fans were worried he may have broken his sobriety when he admitted to partying until 2am at his Black Forge Inn pub on Saturday night.

McGregor was seen having fun with his long-time partner, Dee Devlin, and holding bottles of alcohol – but there’s nothing to suggest he was drinking them.

Two days later, he returned to the gym and appeared to be in fine form as he shared pictures of his gloves and headguard covered in the blood of his sparring partner.

“Some are just built different,” he captioned the 10-image Instagram post.

“I am only now coming into my own. June 29th, records and jaws are getting smashed! Onwards and upwards! #fightingIrish”

‘Notorious’ also shared the photos to his Instagram story, with the caption: “It’s in the blood and this ain’t my blood. Believe! JUNE 29th UFC PPV.”

McGregor followed that up with more footage from his gym day.

The 35-year-old documented his strength and conditioning session, which saw him utilise a variety of methods to work out his arms, legs, and core.

McGregor appears to be in tremendous shape and is leaving no stone unturned as he seeks to record his first MMA win since beating Donald Cerrone in January 2020.

Victory would put him in a position to challenge for various UFC titles, including the BMF belt recently acquired by Max Holloway when he knocked out Justin Gaethje at UFC 300.

A loss could spell the end of McGregor’s career as an elite-level MMA fighter.
