That run, which includes The Masters at Augusta, has seen him cement a level of dominance not seen since Tiger Woods was in his prime. Scheffler, still just 27, has now pocketed $18.69 million this season – more than double the next highest earner, Wyndham Clark ($9.3m).

He has made more than $16 million in the last 43 days alone, with nearly half of that coming on consecutive weekends thanks to victory at The Masters ($3.6m) and RBC Heritage ($3.6m). His caddie Ted Scott, meanwhile, is thought to have earned $1.8m this season – more than Rory McIlroy ($1.7m).

In fact, since victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last month, Scheffler’s paychecks read $4m, $4.5m (Players Championship), $550,000 (T2 at Houston Open), $3.6m (Masters) and $3.6m (RBC Heritage). That is an average of around $375,000 per day.

In 10 events this season, the world No. 1 has secured nine top-10 finishes and four wins. No other player has triumphed more than once. Only one person in history – Bobby Jones – has won all four majors in a single year but Scheffler is just 50/1 (+5000) with some bookmakers to follow up his victory at Augusta – starting with the PGA Championship next month.

Scheffler currently sits head and shoulders above any other player in the world – his tally of 629 ranking points is nearly double that of McIlroy in second (344). This latest victory made Scheffler the just second player – and the first since Bernhard Langer in 1985 – to win the RBC Heritage and The in consecutive weeks.

Scheffler finished three shots clear of Sahith Theegala in South Carolina, closing on 19-under-par despite a bogey five on the final hole. Before then, the world No. 1 had gone 68 consecutive holes without dropping a shot – a streak stretching back to the third hole of Thursday’s opening round.

Across the 2024 season, meanwhile, Scheffler has now recorded 39 consecutive rounds at par or better. After closing out victory on Monday, Scheffler had gained more than five shots off the tee, nearly seven shots with his approaches to the green, and more than 12 shots in total. He led the field on all three counts.

No one made as few bogeys (one) over the week and no one was better at saving par after missing the green in regulation (15/17).
