Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors is one step closer to becoming the All-Time 3-Point Club member alongside Stephen Curry.

While Stephen Curry is the league’s premier shooter from deep, Klay Thompson has always been an elite three-point specialist in his own right. And after the Golden State Warriors’ game against the Dallas Mavericks, the Splash Brother has shown everyone why.

In that particular game, the Dubs got the 104-100 win over Dallas at the Chase Center in San Francisco. Andrew Wiggins came up big against the Mavs by dropping 23 points on 50 percent shooting from beyond the arc. Klay Thompson had 14 points as a starter again, while Stephen Curry contributed 13 points in 31 minutes.

The Mavericks had another explosive performance from Luka Doncic when the Slovenian All-Star posted a triple-double of 30 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Kyrie Irving added 27 points while P.J. Washington made 20 points of his own.

The win helped the Dubs secure its hold on the 10th spot and create some distance between a Jalen Green-led Houston Rockets team. The Mavericks, meanwhile, are tied in the fifth spot with the New Orleans Pelicans with 45 wins and 30 losses.

Golden State Warriors Star Klay Thomson Climbs Up All-Time 3-Point Ladder

Apart from going home with the win, Thompson has achieved a feat few in the league can ever reach. In a post shared by the Warriors’ official account on X:

Over the course of his 13-year run with the Dubs, Thompson has made 2,452 three-pointers out of the 5,947 attempts he made. That translates to a career success rate of 41 percent, making him one of the most deadliest volume three-point shooters in NBA history. This can be seen in his list of accomplishments, which includes four championships, two All-NBA team honors, and being named to five All-Star Games.

While Thompson has visibly regressed this season, there’s still a lot of gas left in his tank. It’s only a matter of time before the Dubs star climbs further up the list in the coming years.
