Beyonce’s protégé Blue Ivy and rarely-seen daughter Rumi join dad Jay-Z inside the stadium at Chiefs vs 49ers game in Las Vegas

Jay-Z was pictured with his daughters Blue Ivy and Rumi at Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday, pitting the Kansas City Chiefs against the San Francisco 49ers.

The iconic rapper, 54, was pictured with daughters Blue Ivy, 12, and Rumi, six, who he shares with Beyoncé, on the sidelines at the sports extravaganza on Sunday. He is also father to son Sir, six, with the Single Ladies artist, who was later featured on the broadcast taking the game in from the stands.

Both the rap icon and his younger daughter donned leather jackets to the event, while Blue Ivy was clad in a letterman’s jacket.

Jay-Z donned a black leather jacket with Las Vegas print art on it, with an NFL logo emblazoned on the chest, over a black top with black pants, a knit cap and sunglasses.

He was pictured posing for shots with his daughters at multiple places on the field, including the end zone.

Blue Ivy, the protégé of her superstar mother, was clad in a varsity jacket with blue denim cargo pants as she jumped into the air for the cameras.

She wore her braided hair down and parted at the big event, and carried a black purse.

Her younger sister Rumi wore an all-black ensemble of a Givenchy leather jacker with a dress and boots. She appeared to be holding a Barbie doll in her hand.

Beyoncé also made headlines Sunday as she was featured in an advertisement for Verizon, saying, ‘They ready, drop the new music.’

She subsequently released a new pair of country songs, titled 16 Carriages and Texas Hold ‘Em on platforms including Tidal, YouTube and Spotify.

Beyoncé’s Instagram page later featured country-themed posts, as she advertised the release of ‘act ii’ March 29, which could be a follow up to her 2022 record Renaissance, which has been referred to as Act I: Renaissance.

While Jay-Z has been to multiple Super Bowls in the past, he has never headlined the show’s halftime show, but left the door open to a potential appearance in the future in an interview with Entertainment Tonight last month.

‘I thought it would be selfish to pick myself too early,’ he told the outlet at The Book of Clarence premiere in Los Angeles.

The Big Pimpin’ singer said that he was anticipating watching Usher take the stage for halftime show Sunday, saying, ‘I think that he’s going to take his rightful place – he’s one of the greatest performers we’ve seen in our time and I think he’ll take his rightful place.’

It’s the second year in a row the music mainstay brought his eldest child to the Super Bowl, as he and Blue Ivy were in attendance at Super Bowl LVII, where Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs bested the Philadelphia Eagles.

Blue Ivy was also with her parents at last week’s Grammys, where Jay-Z made headlines after criticizing the show for never giving his wife Beyoncé album of the year.

The Lemonade singer has 32 Grammys to her name but has never once won album of the year.

Jay-Z was awarded the Grammy‘s Dr. Dre Global Impact Award for his contribution to the music industry. In his acceptance speech, he spoke about the importance of dreams, drive and ambition.

He said that there were more important things in life than winning Grammys, noting they were subjective – and pointing out his superstar wife had never won best album.

He said: ‘I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won Album of the Year. So even by your own metrics, that doesn’t work. Think about that. The most Grammys; never won Album of the Year. That doesn’t work.’

Jay-Z has been nominated for 88 competitive Grammy Awards, winning 24 of them. Six of his nominations have been for Album of the Year.

Beyoncé has also been nominated for 88 competitive Grammy Awards, winning 32 of them. Like her husband, Beyoncé has been nominated six times for Album of the Year, but never won.

The Kansas City Chiefs ultimately beat out the slight favorite San Francisco 49ers, 25-22, as Patrick Mahomes threw a three-yard game-winning touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman in overtime.
