Appearing on the cover of “TIME” magazine, Kylian Mbappe said his career has now completely changed.
The 19-year-old striker just contributed greatly to France’s World Cup championship. But Mbappe doesn’t need to wait for the World Cup to introduce himself to the football world.
He has had great promotions for his image since he was playing for Monaco. That was the “passport” that brought Mbappe to PSG for a transfer fee of 166 million pounds, making his name even more famous. At the French capital team, Mbappe continues to affirm the talent of the world’s top attacking star.
He has been involved in 11 PSG goals in Ligue 1 and the Champions League since the beginning of the season, including 5 goals and 3 assists in Ligue 1 plus another 2 goals and 1 assist in the Champions League. Mbappe is considered a bright candidate for the 2018 Golden Ball award.
“My life has truly turned a new page. I’m so happy because I’m living the life of my dreams. But I think I also lost something. I didn’t have a life like normal people when I was a teenager, I couldn’t go out with friends and enjoy happy times,” Mbappe confided to a reporter for “TIME”.
Despite becoming the world’s top star at a very young age, Mbappe still maintains his humility and that is what makes him different from other stars who are trying to get to the top. The French striker recently spent 500,000 euros of his World Cup bonus to support a charity fund that teaches sports to disabled children.
Sharing about his lifestyle, Mbappe said: “I see that the biggest stars, the greatest players are the most humble and respectful of others. I always tell myself I need to be pure. There are three things I want to keep: respect, humility and purity.”
