Will Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Walk the Red Carpet at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards?

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s red carpet debut has been a long time coming.

So far, Travis Kelce’s NFL schedule has kept the Kansas City Chiefs tight end from walking at least two red carpets with girlfriend Taylor Swift in the five-ish months the power couple has been dating. However, some Swifties were hoping the pair’s dual nominations at the People’s Choice Awards could change that.

On January 11, it was announced that Swift up for an award in five categories, while Kelce has received his first-ever nomination for athlete of the year. So, will Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce attend the awards ceremony together on February 8, 2024? Probably not.

Not only has Taylor Swift skipped the People’s Choice Awards since her last appearance in 2013, but the Eras Tour is scheduled to pick back up in Tokyo, Japan on February 7. Lest you think she might use that private jet of hers for a quick trip back, she does have another show scheduled on the 8th.

Still, this would have been the perfect opportunity for Swift and Kelce to go red carpet official as the event will honor both of their achievements. “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” Swift recently told Time during her Person of the Year interview. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”

Of course, Kelce has some serious catching up to do. Swift has already won 17 of these fan-voted awards over the years. This year, she’s up for concert tour of the year, movie of the year, social celebrity of the year, female artist of the year, and pop artist of the year.
