Another question related to this enigmatic individual is: why was Imu chosen among the other rulers to lead the World Government? This implies that they might have been the one who forced the other nations to fight the Ancient Kingdom.

Nefertari Lily was the queen of Alabasta when the World Government waged war against the Ancient Kingdom. Initially, she had accepted to help the other 19 countries but changed her mind afterward. It is unclear what brought about this change in her and why she betrayed her allies. It is possible that Lily learned about the true intentions of Imu and found that the Ancient Kingdom was wrongly framed.

Lily’s decision to turn her back on her allies infers that she had indeed learned something about the country that the others didn’t know. After uncovering the truth, she released the Poneglyphs into the world, which may have prompted the World Government to take action and ultimately kill her.

The Void Century is a massive gap in the history of the world. It is a period of 100 years that has been conveniently erased from all history books. Nobody knows what exactly happened during this particular period. Judging by the way the World Government has tried to protect the secret, it seems that something terrible occurred during the 100 years, and the organization didn’t want the rest of the world to find out about it.
