Smooth operator: Despite his handsome brush with hipster style, it seems that actor Henry Cavill has reverted back to his clean-shaven look – after being spotted without it at Ireland’s Groove Music Festival on Sunday

Displaying some 𝑠e𝑥y stubble, rather than a full face of fuzz, the Man of Steel actor certainly looked younger – and more preppy – without the beard.

In fact, wearing a navy blue hooded top with a pair of relaxed jeans and brown leather boots, the 32 year-old looked anything but on-trend.

Instead, he simple blended into the crowd, which is perhaps what he wanted considering the event is billed as ‘a hassle-free festival with a line-up across many music genres from folk to rock.’

The site says: ‘We are guessing the beard could be for Stratton as Henry prepares to play a Special Boat Service operative in the film. But then again, we thought the same thing when he grew his superbeard in Detroit, but it looks like that was not for Batman Vs. Superman.

‘Either way, we think he looks amazing in it, and clearly the internet agrees!’.

The down-time comes ahead of a punishing promotional tour for a number of projects, including The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

British director Guy Ritchie – who is currently also showing off a rather impressive beard himself – is behind the camera for the remake, which is based on the TV show of the same name that ran for four seasons.

The film was due to be released in January of this year, but has now been pushed back to August by Warner Bros.

Set against the backdrop of the Cold War, the film also features Hugh Grant, Alicia Vikander and Jared Harris in its supporting cast.

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is in UK cinemas on August 14, 2015.
