It was a tough night for Marvin Humes, Tony Bellews and Sam Thompson during Tuesday’s episode of I’m A Celeb after a night in The Misery Motel.

And after being showered with critters and frogs in a bid to collect as many coins as possible the threesome managed to win 24 out of 30 coins to spend at the jungle vending machine.

While Fred Sirieix fiancée Fruitcake has flown into Australia to prepare to reunite with the star, the threesome also decided to treat the camp cook especially as they bought the star both stock cubes and his own apron, leaving the First Date star rather emotional, ‘He’s got tears’.

Deciding what to spend their money on, Sam said: ‘I think we do all of the stars and then that stock cube for the rice, that’s [enough stock for] two meals.’

Marvin agreed and said: ‘Five stars for 15 coins. That leaves us with nine. Stock cubes for four, the bar of chocolate as a treat… and then have one coin left.’

While Tony wanted to spend it on ‘something practical’, Sam spotted an apron for Fred and made up his mind.

‘An apron for Fred! Let’s do it!’ exclaimed Sam, while Marvin added, ‘Fred’s going to be buzzing.’

Sam enthused: ‘What a haul!’

As they returned to the camp triumphant with their vending machine haul, Sam explained: ‘What we decided to do, we bought five stars and treated ourselves to a couple of things…’

Out of his pants Sam then – to the surprise of his campmates for his choice of where to store the items – brought out a chef’s apron.

He said to Fred: ‘This is for you mate.’

Sam continued: ‘We then got some stock cubes, baby!’

Josie in the Bush Telegraph said: ‘Oh my god, stock cubes. I could see Fred’s eyes welling up.’

Sam noticed too, saying: ‘He’s got tears!’

Fred in the Bush Telegraph said: ‘It almost feels like Christmas Day. It’s not in his bag, it’s in his pants!’

It comes after viewers shared their elation that Sam was elected camp leader during Monday’s episode, after he was branded ‘human coffee’ by his campmates

Fred in the Bush Telegraph said: ‘It almost feels like Christmas Day. It’s not in his bag, it’s in his pants!’

Sam also revealed the bar of chocolate, which went down a treat with the campmates, but Jamie Lynn Spears was quick to question why they decided to splash out on the airport.

Explaining their choices, Sam said: ‘Jamie, your luxury item was on there. Nigel your chair, Fred, your tune, but we thought you’d want the chocolate more.’

Jamie Lynn congratulated them for the decisions they’d made saying: ‘Honestly, if you were going to get one person’s luxury item, I don’t think that’s fair. I think y’all did good. You got something for the camp’s morale.’

But she did check: ‘Why would y’all get the apron?’ before Sam explained that they only had one coin left and the apron cost one coin.

During the trial Marvin was showered in critters as the bugs poured out a storage box.

‘Great dodging!’ encouraged Sam as Marvin managed to bag all 10 coins.

Meanwhile Tony was left screaming in terror as he searched for coins in a cupboard full of frogs, before dropping a furious F-bomb while attempting to shake off the cockroaches crawling on his body.

With cockroaches crawling all over his body, Tony cried out in horror as he rummaged through the animals, despite encouragement from his campmates.

Jumping back and attempting to shake off the bugs, Tony screamed: ‘There’s no coins in there, just a thousand frogs f**k sake!’

Sam’s challenge began as he had to change the bedding to find his first three coins, before he was forced to leave his final coins behind, leaving the room with only a second to spare.
