I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! fans have started falling for Hollyoaks iconNick Pickard ever since his terrifying trial during Wednesday’s episode.

Viewers took to Twitter to praise the Hollyoaks actor after he and Nigel Farage faced the In Too Deep challenge.

Fans were quick to label Nick a 𝑠e𝑥 symbol after the trial. However, the whole thing became too much for Nigel, who ended up saying the words ‘get me out of here.’

After Nick’s triumphant appearance, which saw him holding his breath under water for over a minute and facing an angry looking water python, one social media user posted: ‘Nick is actually so hot I can’t lie.’

Another added, ‘Idk Nick is suddenly becoming 𝑠e𝑥y to me #ImACeleb’

Wednesday’s trial saw Nigel panic underwater after he and Nick received the most votes by the ITV public and had to face the latest challenge.

Explaining what the pair had to do, host Dec said: ‘This is In Too Deep. It takes place in these two giant water tanks behind you.

‘You’ll need to free those stars that are trapped at the bottom. You do this by releasing the spanners that are up there on the side of the tank.

‘Then you’ll use them to unscrew the bolts that are holding the stars in place. When the stars are removed, you can collect them and get them in your bag. Only stars in your bag at the end of the Trial will count.’

Ant added: ‘You’ll take it in turns collecting one star at a time. This is a Bushtucker Trial, expect the unexpected.’

‘You’ve got 11 minutes to get 11 stars. You can stop the Trial at any point by saying ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ and we’ll stop the Trial, but then you will forfeit any further stars.

‘The other celebrity can play on to get their stars, but with half the time. And of course, you don’t have to do it. You can say, “No thanks lads” but you’ll go back to camp empty handed.’

Dec encouraged him: ‘Maybe use the rungs of the ladder to help you down?’

Nigel passed on the star, so it returned to Nick to try and gain another meal for camp as he was joined by a crocodile.

However, when Nigel’s second chance came he quickly passed, he said: ‘Nick, you’re on your own mate. Pass.’

And once Nick had obtained his next start Nigel had had enough of being in the water, he called out: ‘No, I’m done, sorry. Can’t do it. Get me out of here.’

Due to the former politician quitting, Nick had half the time left to get the stars and managed to secure six meals for camp.

At the end of the Trial, Nigel said: ‘I wasn’t worried about the snakes. Just can’t do it. I let the side down’.

Nick said: ‘Don’t be stupid, we’ve got six.’

The trial comes as ITV faces questions over the welfare of stars appearing on its shows after Jamie Lynn Spears became the second person to quit I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

The sister of pop icon Britney, 32, has had a very emotional time in camp and has frequently been filmed in floods of tears over the difficult conditions and missing her family back home.

She left the show days after Grace Dent left the jungle amid fears over her ‘unwell’ appearance and after Nella Rose was taken out of the camp to be treated by medics – although she has since returned.

The exit will spark questions for show bosses about their rigorous background checks before the show kicked off, and whether stars were fit enough to handle the gruelling show.

And insiders at the channel say that they are ‘struggling to keep up with the drama’ following the American actress’s exit for medical reasons.

One source described the situation on the popular programme as a ‘mess,’ while they fear there could be more departures in the coming days as the atmosphere in the jungle becomes even more tense.

It also comes after concerns about the welfare of participants on other ITV shows including Love Island after the 2022 series was rocked with complaints of ‘misogynistic behaviour and bullying’.

On Wednesday afternoon, a spokesman for I’m a Celebrity confirmed Jamie Lynn had left the programme.

He said: ‘Jamie Lynn Spears has left I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! on medical grounds.

‘She’s been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities.’

Viewers saw Jamie Lynn’s exit from the show during Wednesday night’s episode, after the campmates were made aware of her departure. It has been confirmed that she will not be replaced.

It comes just two days after food critic Grace Dent decided to leave the show, while Nella Rose was briefly taken the camp to receive treatment from medics on Tuesday, sparking fears she would also quit altogether.
