Last year Jai Brooks released a long Twitter rant in which he claimed ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande was unfaithful to him.

But it seems the pair have put any ill feelings they had toward each other in the past, as they were spotted sharing a passionate kiss backstage at the iHeartRadio Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Jai, a member of the Australian YouTube comedy and prank group The Janoskians, pulled Ariana in close and smiled before locking lips with the pop star in a parking lot.

Ariana was wearing her signature white leather platform high-knee boots, which she also donned during her performance at the awards show held at LA’s Shrine Auditorium earlier in the day.

The singer slipped a beige and cream coloured baggy sweater dress over the glittery black mini dress she wore on stage.

She wore her long chestnut tresses up in a voluminous high ponytail.

The starlet may have been hinting at her rekindled romance with Jai earlier this week when she told E! she was drawn to boys with tattoos.

Ariana fans have been speculating that she is back together with Jai, pointing out that he ‘constantly’ comments on her tweets, according to International Business Times.

In October Jai, 18, stated that Ariana, 20, was still in a relationship with him when she began seeing The Wanted star Nathan Sykes, also 20.

Ariana and Nathan broke up in December after dating for four months.

‘Yes I was cheated on. Yes it does suck. Yes I was left for another man,’ Jai’s sizeable post began.

He went on to say he was ‘a miserable wreck’ and explained: ‘Like anyone who has been cheated on, it has been tough for me but I’m finally ready to move on.’

Jai appeared to place a lot of blame on Nathan for romancing someone who was taken.

‘Nathan may be a top bloke or a sweet person, but what he did was just completely wrong,’ he wrote.

‘He interfered with my life and did not respect my relationship, his actions caused me to not be able to sleep at night and not see the world as a beautiful place.

Jai then appeared to be addressing Ariana directly when he wrote: ‘Today was supposed to be our one year anniversary but instead I’m writing this. Do you know how s*** this makes me feel? How crushed it makes me feel?

And in case anyone doubted his claims, the teen added: ‘I’m starting to get back on my feet and smile again. Yes I do miss her and still love her but I need to start thinking of myself and do what is best for me.

‘You may or may not believe me, that is up to you and I’m not going to force you to, but just know I would never make up a lie about something like this, it’s far too serious.’

Nathan ignored the accusations but Ariana took to her own Twitter account the following morning to address the claims and stated that she was ‘in complete and utter shock’ but added that she ‘shouldn’t be so surprised’.

‘You said to me if I didn’t come back to you, you’d make me look bad to the entire world… I’m no longer afraid of you or your lies anymore,’ she tweeted, suggesting her ex had tried to blackmail her.

The Yours Truly singer used the microblogging site for a rant of her own and wrote: ‘I’m going to be the lady my mother raised and carry myself with class and dignity… But I will never be any man’s press opportunity.

‘It’s always ok to defend yourself. My fans know what kind of person I am. Never let any man discredit u or the values you were raised with.’
