Swift may never have thought in her “Wildest Dreams” that she would be a football fan, but she’s grown to love the sport since going public with the NFL athlete in September.
“Football is awesome, it turns out,” the Grammy winner said in a recent interview as Time’s 2023 Person of the Year, adding, “I’ve been missing out my whole life.”
She also told the publication that when she attended her first Chiefs game on Sept. 24, she and Kelce were already “hanging out.” The artist shared that she was grateful for the time they got to spend together before their romance made headlines “because we got to get to know each other.”

And now that the famous couple has gone public, it seems fans may be seeing a lot more of Swift at Arrowhead Stadium.
“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” the “Love Story” singer said, adding, “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”

A source recently echoed those sentiments, telling PEOPLE that the couple was the “real deal.”
“They’re still a little shocked by all of it — that he’s dating the Taylor Swift, but they’ve seen how down to earth she is with his friends and family,” the insider close to the Kansas City Chiefs star said exclusively.
The insider added that both of them finding success in their own careers plays a factor in their relationship “growing.”
“They’re both really hard workers, and he acknowledges her art is hers, and he has what’s his,” the source told PEOPLE. “He understands the territory their relationship comes with and like he said, isn’t letting any of the hoopla impact how they’re growing together.”
The source concluded, “Their relationship is about the two of them, and he sees Taylor for who she is and vice versa.”
