At 38 years old, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to set yet another magnificent record after the victory with the Al Nassr club.

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has reached an impressive milestone in his illustrious football career, playing his 1,200th match as a professional player at the age of 38.

Al Nassr’s recent 4-1 win over away team Al Riyadh early this morning (December 9) in the round of 16 of the 2023/24 Saudi Arabia National Championship has a very special meaning for star Cristiano Ronaldo.

More specifically, this is his 1,200th match as a professional player. This is a record that very few football players can achieve in their career.

Ronaldo reached the milestone of 1,200 appearances

It is not redundant to recall that coach Luis Castro let Cristiano rest completely by not adding his name to the list of players participating in the away match against opponent Istiklol (Tajikistan) in the AFC Champions League last week. Through this, teacher Catro wants Ronaldo to be in the best physical condition when he plays in his 1,200th match. And Ronaldo did not miss the opportunity. In front of 25,000 spectators on the field, this striker had 1 goal and 1 assist contributing to the home team winning 3 points.

Since his debut on August 14, 2002 in the Champions League with Sporting Lisbon until now, Cristiano Ronaldo has more than 2 decades of fighting in the colors of clubs such as: Sporting Lisbon, MU, Real Madrid, Juventus , Al Nassr, with the Portuguese national team. This striker is also approaching his 900th goal. Currently, the star born in 1985 owns 868 goals, including the goal scored against Al Riyadh in the 33rd minute in his 1,200th match.

Number of matches played and number of goals scored by Ronaldo

Sporting Lisbon: 31 matches and 5 goals

MU: 346 matches and 145 goals

Real Madrid: 438 matches and 449 goals

Juventus: 134 matches and 101 goals

Al Nassr: 46 matches, 39 goals

Portugal national team: 205 matches and 129 goals
